Mahesh’s approach to filmmaking combines authentic storytelling with an instinct for entertainment, creating films and series that resonate with a broad audience. His directorial debut, A Letter for Tomorrow, explores the changing relationships between three generations of women in a Mumbai home. He has also conceptualised and directed more than 100 digital films across entertainment, brands and live events.
Alongside directing and writing, he brings extensive experience in developing and executive producing original series at Disney+ Hotstar and ZEE5. His collaborations include creators Hansal Mehta, Robbie Grewal and Bhuvan Bam, and production houses Applause Entertainment and Friday Filmworks. Working closely with writers, directors and production houses, he engages with stories from early concepts and scripts through performances, visual storytelling, editing and music. His work spans live-action drama, comedy and animation, alongside helping launch Hotstar Quix.
